We are the People

August 19th, 2010
Beth Roberts asked:

On November 4th, 2008, we the people, elected our next President who summoned the citizens of our Nation to serve and unite as One America. As President-elect Obama gazed upon the diverse crowd of a quarter of a million people on election night, and as the whole world looked on, he reiterated President Lincoln’s infamous proclamation, “of the people, by the people, for the people.” It was evident that his plan was to lead our Nation, not as a leader of many, but as a legion of unified people with a singular purpose for our Country.

Our voices were heard loud and clear on election night when we exercised our constitutional right to vote. However, this right also includes the duty to serve and be actively involved in the new leadership of our Country.

Although the metaphorical wounds are still too raw for some, our new President-elect Obama rallied all voters; democrat, republican, white, black, Native, Asian and Latino Americans, to continue their involvement in the best democracy of the world. President-elect Obama, has been, and continues to be, an extraordinary example that every American ought to emulate.

President-elect Obama believed in us as we believed in him; and from the beginning, he has expected us to continue our dedication to service and to assist him in bringing about the crucial change needed in our government. Now he is expecting all Americans to travel this journey united; and not passively or as a disgruntled onlooker, but as an engaged voter.

As President-elect Obama goes about selecting the best possible team to assist him in the daunting task of healing our Country and implementing a course of action for our future, we together as Americans, voters or not, need to be mindful of our responsibility to civic duty. And when our newly elected President Obama is ready to call upon us to serve in what ever capacity that we are able, our only response should be, “What do you need me to do?”

Get involved, make a difference, and act without hesitation. www.change.gov

Skills That Private Investigators Need to Solve Their Cases

July 18th, 2010
Connor R Sullivan asked:

Finding someone can be tricky especially if they do not wish to be found. Searches are carried out for wide variety of reasons. Deadbeat parents or long lost friends and relatives need to be located or bail bonds need to be recovered when someone skips out on their court appearance. When attempting to investigate a bail bond, it requires taking more approaches beyond calling directory assistance to locate an individual. In the private investigative industry, one must develop skills in many different areas in order to locate missing individuals quickly and inexpensively. There are several areas in which an investigator must develop his skills and knowledge in order to effectively fulfill his obligations to his clients.

Using various kinds of computer searches are invaluable tools for any investigator. Some of the resources that are commonly available to a knowledgeable investigator are social security number traces, voter registration records, forwarding address searches, driver license searches, and credit bureau computer searches. No investigator can consider himself truly qualified unless he has become proficient in utilizing and following up on leads gained from computer resources.

A new and clever high tech trick that private investigative agencies are starting to utilize is called call trapping. Through a number of different avenues, word is sent out to make the subject believe he needs to call a special toll free number because he has won a prize or has a refund check waiting. When they finally do call the toll free number, the number from which he is calling is captured. Once that information is obtained, the investigator may be able to turn the telephone number into an address.

Public records at the local, state and federal level are can be a goldmine in providing leads and the fact that they are free is an added bonus. The investigator needs to know exactly which type of record he needs to look at and how to access that information the quickest way. The skills previously discussed are referred to as paper sources and create the foundation of an investigation that often generates leads. The following information deals with more advanced skills that focus on utilizing people as sources.

Although there are a ton of leads to be found via computer and public records sources, it is often still necessary to personally follow up with the people they encounter indirectly while searching records.

For example, a former employer, a former neighbor or a minister from a first marriage will usually know something about the missing person that could lead an investigator in the exact direction he needs to find the person. Certainly anyone who enjoys a good police drama on T.V. understands the importance of being able to effectively develop pretext and interviewing skills. A pretext is a strategy used to conceal the real reason for asking for the information. The goal is to approach people in a non-threatening manner and to appear harmless so that they feel comfortable engaging with the investigator. Investigators need to learn when it is appropriate and necessary to use pretext and when it is not.

Elections 2008: Racism Revived

July 3rd, 2010
Obama Ghost Writer asked:

What has occurred at McCain/Palin rallies is appalling and reprehensible. A country that brags about freedom and justice for all, but allows itself to be divided by prejudice and hate, embarrasses our desire to be leaders of the world. We are reputed to have a superior education system, yet we exhibit unfathomable ignorance.

At this time, 232 years into the history of the longest living democracy in the world, having this dichotomy blare through a presidential campaign should bring us to a screeching halt to examine our national and individual souls.

The undertow of prejudice in this country has spilled from race to include religion and ethnicity.

Now the Republican candidates have reached into this cesspool to try to gain votes in this election. Smiling and carrying on with their speeches when “kill him,” “traitor,” “treason,” “off with his head” are shouted from the audience gives the patina of approval to the seeds of bigotry and hatred that lead to a mob mentality. Their actions are unconscionable and amoral.

Where is our memory? Don’t we remember how many have been murdered because of this kind of insanity?

Where is our indignation that hate and violence are nurtured by these candidates?

How can we not raise our voices in response, to avert the inevitable result when mob mentality is let loose?

Indeed, the Republican candidate for president must take action immediately to put the lid back on this Pandora’s Box before violence erupts. If anyone is injured as a result of the actions of his campaign, the burden is directly on his soul.

As a nation, it behooves us to take responsibility, each of us as individuals, to unite as one nation against what these candidates have unleashed.

We are a proud and tolerant Nation. Let’s prove it.

Why Using A Public Records Database?

June 20th, 2010
Frank Mikael asked:

Many people use public records every day to help them find information about a person.

When you need to find information on a particular person, there are a lot of different records that you can search. But nowadays, the best way to search through these records is with a public records database.

There are many benefits to using a database to search and knowing these benefits can help you decide if this is a good way for you to search.

Here are the benefits you need to know before using a public records database.

When you have children, one major benefit is that you will be able to use public records to help keep them safe. You will be able to find out about neighbors and when you hire someone to babysit, you can find out important information about them. This is important to protecting your children. If you are a business owner, then you may need to use a public records database to find out information about a person that you are considering hiring. You can do a criminal and a background check to make sure they would be a good person to hire. Fiancés use public records to help them make sure the person they are marrying is not going to be a bad choice. No one wants to get married only to find out that they made a mistake. This is a benefit that will save you a lot of pain and time in the future.

These are just a few benefits to using a public records database. Public records can be a big help to anyone. So, start searching today if you need to learn information about someone.

Black Youth Vote! National Civic Education Training Tour Promotes Voting In Iowa

June 8th, 2010
Edrea Davis asked:

As part of ongoing efforts to motivate young people to engage in the political process, the League of Young Voters Education Fund (LYVEF) recently teamed up with the National Coalition on Black Civic Participation’s (NCBCP) Black Youth Vote! (BYV!) for an innovative civic participation training at North High School in Des Moines, IA. The youth later participated in the Black and Brown Forum Presidential Debate.

Organizers underscored the importance of voting in the Jan. 3, 2008 primary even though people of color make up less than six percent of the Iowa population. “We are working diligently to educate young people on the role the primaries play in the political process,” said Rob “Biko” Baker, LYVEF organizing director. “We used edutainment – spoken word and writing exercises – to tie the struggles faced by young adults to the power of the vote.”

“Young people must learn the entire process. From getting youth-oriented issues on the table during the primaries, to holding elected officials accountable once they’re in office,” adds Melanie L. Campbell, executive director and CEO of the NCBCP. “This is one of many trainings we are hosting across the country to educate young people on the importance of voting and teaching them how to mobilize their friends and family around issues important to them.”

Last month Black Youth Vote! hosted a comprehensive training in Washington, DC to prepare state BYV! coordinators to go into their community and galvanize young voters. Nearly 80 youth organizers from across the country engaged in interactive workshops and panel discussions to train them on voter registration, mobilizing young voters, voter protection, and educating the youth on issues impacting their demographic.

“There are a number of issues important to Black youth including the unprecedented levels of African American incarceration, high school expulsion rates, and their economic future,” said Jordan Thierry, BYV! national coordinator. “Black Youth Vote! connects the dots between voting and resolving issues effecting their everyday life.”

“It’s a new day in America. Black youth under 35 represent nearly 50 percent of the Black American electorate,” says Campbell. “Black youth have the power to impact the serious problems confronting the Black community. Their movement was energized with the historic participation of young voters in the 2004 election, followed by the massive demonstration in Jena. Black Youth Vote! is helping to channel that movement energy into the 2008 election cycle,” she adds.

Black Youth Vote!, (www.ncbcp.org) the youth division of the NCBCP, is a national grassroots coalition of organizations and individuals committed to increasing political and civic involvement among Black men and women aged 18-35. Founded in1996, the youth led organization educates young adults about the political process and trains them to identify issues and influence public policy through participation. BYV! has been instrumental reversing the downward spiral among young voters and educating voters who are increasingly disenfranchised from the electoral and legislative process.

The League of Young Voters Education Fund (http://youngvoter.org/iowa) empowers young people nationwide to participate in the democratic process -with a focus on non-college youth from low-income communities and communities of color. Founded in 2003, LYVEF makes civic engagement relevant by meeting young people where they are, working on issues that affect their lives, and providing them with tools, training, and support to become viable players in the civic process.

History Of Car Registrations

June 7th, 2010
Jayne Henry asked:

In 1903 Car Registrations were introduced, to enable owners of vehicles to be identified. The Introduction of The Motor Car Act made it compulsory for all motorised vehicles to be registered with a Car Registration.

Responding to the Act of 1903, a now long-forgotten Westminster civil servant came up with a straightforward, easily recognizable system of vehicle registration marks – which developed into one of the most enduring features of the entire age of motoring in the British Isles. The new alphabet-based system included a regional identification plan, founded on the then national arrangement of county councils and county borough councils (burgh councils in Scotland). Early registration marks consisted of single letters and up to four numbers, the letters representing strategically placed urban or rural councils in descending order of total population around the British Isles. Under this system, the first registration mark to be allocated was A 1, issued by London County Council soon after the 1903 legislation received royal assent. Some letters – G, I, S, V and Z – were earmarked for use in Scotland and Ireland, and along with Q, were withheld. The remaining twenty letters were insufficient to provide all English authorities with registration allocations, so (with some exceptions, particularly combinations that included letters from the list above as ‘second’ letters) two-letter combinations starting at AA and preceding as far as FP were also issued.

Nowadays however Car Registrations have become the most popular accessory for the modern day car owner. People are now choosing to replace their standard issue numbers with car registrations stating their initials. Car Owners these days are looking to stand out in the crowd are adding distinctive car registrations to their vehicles. For example one funny number plate that is being offered for sale by Speedy Registrations is DO57 COW. These days hundreds of car registrations are being sold each week, with prices starting from £40 plus VAT plus Transfer Fee.

Since the Introduction of Car Registrations in the GB mainland there have been various formats:

Dateless Suffix Prefix Current Style

Dateless

The earliest type of registration survived for an incredible 60 years, from 1904, and had nothing at all to denote the year of issue.

Initially, the marks were made up of a local council identifier code, of up to 3 letters, followed by a random number, eg. ABC 123.

In the early 1950s, as numbers started to run out, the components were reversed, giving rise to registrations in the format 123 ABC.

All dateless registrations are now in high demand, especially short combinations, 60 E for example, which is worth in excess of £12,000 because of the single initial and the fact it is made up of only three characters.

Suffix

By 1963, a number of local councils (each of which had until then issued plates beginning with letters identifying their area) had run out of registrations.

As a result of this, the Suffix system was introduced, a letter indicating the year of registration being added at the end of the plate, which until then had comprised only 3 letters followed by 3 numbers.

Thus, 1963 plates had the format AAA 111A, 1964 plates AAA 111B and so on.

Prefix

The Classic Prefix system started in August 1983, and has a single letter identifying the year of issue at the beginning of the registration mark.

Prefix registrations can be broken down in three sections:

First Letter: The year the car was registered and put on the road, hence its age. A for 1983, B for 1984 and so on

Last two letters: An area code that indicates where the plate was registered.

The three numbers and the first of the three letters on the end, have no meaning, only providing a variation for identification. The final two letters are the area code.

This system continued until the end of August 2001, and a large number of these registrations were held back for later release or for personalised registrations.

The letters I, O, U and Z were not issued at all as Classic Prefix letters, and Q was used only where the age or origin of the vehicle could not be identified.

Current Style

In 2001 the DVLA changed the system to take account of police evidence that suggested witnesses, particularly in ‘ hit and run’ incidents, remember the letters of a registration mark much more easily than the numbers. As people read from left to right it made sense to put this information, the local code, at the beginning rather than the end of the number plate. As the result the current system for registrations is made up of 3 parts, as shown below.

 Local Region

This represents the place where the car was first registered. Vehicles registered in Birmingham, for example, begin with the letters BA – BY; those registered in Chelmsford begin EA – EY.

Date ID

This indicates the date of registration of the vehicle, and changes every 6 months, in March and September.

The system started with the use of 51 to denote the 6 months from September 2001, with 02 replacing it in March 2002. 52 then denotes September 2002, 03 denotes March 2003 and so on. This will carry on until March 2010, by when 10 and 60 will have been reached.

Random

The last three letters are random to any vehicle, and can now include Z.

With the growth of the Internet, you can now easily obtain your new car registration for your vehicle. If you are looking for inspiration for your new purchase you should have a look at Speedyreg website and their smart search facility. You will have access to various searches from pet names, to boys and girls names to even car makes and models.

Car Registrations will either be held on Donor Vehicle or held on a Retention Certificate. If the car registration you purchase is held on a Donor Vehicle, it is important to note that you will need to supply vehicle documents for transfer, ie V5C – vehicle registration certificate and MOT certificate. However if the car registrations are held on a Retention Certificate then you will not need to supply vehicle documents immediately as it can be held until you obtain your new vehicle.

When buying car registrations remember that a vehicle can never be made to look younger than it is. For example a “09″ registration number could not be assigned to an “S” registered car. However there is no problem making your vehicle appear older, ie an “T” registration number can be transferred unto your “58″ registered vehicle.

Post Election Trauma Syndrome (pets); it is Curable!

May 28th, 2010
Beth Roberts asked:

Reflecting upon the “day after” election 2008, I found myself feeling like I was standing between my yesterday life and a vague facsimile of the life I had pre-campaign. I was still; and there was no movement of time. I discovered the promises I had made to myself that I would finally clean my house, do the laundry and get the shopping done just after election night, are still left undone. Yet, I mindlessly wander around feeling  an anxiousness, as if I was suppose to be doing something, but there was no motivation to do much of anything.

Over the last year or so my whole body, mind and soul has been focused on one goal; to do everything within my ability to be a part of history and see the first African American be elected as our 44th President of the United States. Now that it is a reality, I am discovering I was living an alternate life that ended quite abruptly on November 5th, 2008. The announcement that Barack Obama was the projected winner of the election was such a surreal experience but that event rapidly turned into an abyss of emotions.

Although, a day and night had passed, there seemed to be something going on. I was really mystified by my emotions and behavior, or in my case, the lack of behaviors until this feeling of familiarity bubbled up into my consciousness; I had experienced this before. Some time back, I had volunteered over 100 hours at the 2002 Winter Olympics, and the days following the closing ceremonies of that very meaningful world-wide event, I meandered around my days as if I was in a thick fog, and no matter how much I tried walk around or out of it, the fog continued to wrap around my life.

There had been approximately 25,000 people volunteering for the 2002 Olympics, and most of them were in the same patch of fog that I found myself in. This phenomenon actually became a story in the local news media. The news media dubbed the volunteers’ experience as Post Olympic Blues. I was pessimistic about such a description because I wasn’t feeling depressed, I was feeling like my purpose in life had been ripped right from under my feet.

Since the 2008 election process began, most of us have been living on a constant flow of the hormone adrenaline. This hormone has helped us push our bodies to be super-human by living on little sleep, constantly walking, door knocking, and talking to exhaustion; motivated by the hope that change was on the horizon. After the election, the body no longer needed the constant secretion of adrenaline, and so we soon felt the physical and mental crash that occurs when the body stops producing adrenaline in constant high volumes. This crash most of us experienced is an inventible consequence of a swift transition from high motivation and energy to “nothing.” The nothing we are experiencing, is the beginning of what can now be known as the “Post Election Trauma Syndrome,” or (PETS).

PETS has similar features to a well-renown concept known as the Kubler-Ross “Five Stages of Grief” model. This model was developed for the purpose of understanding how people grieve and process a significant loss in their lives. Most people believe that “grief” only applies to the loss of a loved one through death, or the loss of a love relationship, or even to the loss of a beloved pet. However, any significant personal change in circumstances is considered a loss and the change does not always have to be viewed as a negative one. The change just needs to be significant enough to elicit the response of loss.

It is pretty easy to notice that all of us, who have had a considerable investment into this year’s historic election, have experienced a “significant personal change” in our lives that may have caused a cluster of symptoms related to PETS. Our collective and diverse efforts and experiences dissipated soon after November 4th, 2008 and most of us, to some degree, have had some feelings of this loss. Even though the outcome of all our hard work and prayers had a positive result, gaining an understanding that we are suffering these symptoms of PETS, may help us reintegrate ourselves back into our family, friends and the society in which we once belonged.

There are specific symptoms that are identified with the PETS disorder which are identified below:

Numbness (mechanical functioning and social insulation)

Denial (this isn’t happening to me!)

Bargaining (If only, then I will be OK, if …..)

Depression (moping around, no motivation)

Acceptance (I’m ready for whatever comes)

Reorganization (re-entry into a more ‘normal’ pre-campaign life.)

We may recognize some of the above symptoms as something we are currently experiencing, or have recently experienced over the last many days. The list above is a collection of symptoms related to PETS and if we are able to identify with at least two of these symptoms we may be suffering from PETS.

Let’s examine each of these symptoms separately by starting with the symptom of feeling “numb.” If we are wondering around our daily life functioning as a mechanical robot and insulating ourselves from any emotions that may want to surface, then we are most likely suffering from the symptom of numbness. Eventually, the numbness will wear off and we may move toward a natural defense mechanism of denial to protect our psyche from the reality that our efforts and work are no longer needed; and the life we had been living for the last year and a half or so, is no more. We may feel some anxiousness as if we are suppose to be doing something but we are bewildered as to what that might be. If this sound like you or any of us, there is a high probability we are suffering from the symptom of denial.

At some point denial will begin to dissolve into one of the other symptoms of PETS. Nearly all of us were ecstatic when we heard the announcement that the media projected Barack Obama had won the election. The extremely positive feelings we were having may have lasted for hours or even for days since our ultimate goal had been realized.  Eventually though, we all began to participate in the symptom known as bargaining as another way to cope with PETS.

This symptom translated into a worry of “if only” Obama’s Head Quarters doesn’t shut down the campaign site, we will be able to keep in touch with the many virtual friends we had made. This symptom became quite noticeable when all of us blogger’s began posting a very similar theme of concern. Many of us started to consider the possibility of losing the site and started posting “if only” the Obama Head Quarters could provide an alternative site we would all be “OK” because we would still be able to stay in contact with all of our virtual friends we made during the Obama campaign. The Obama Headquarters must have noticed all of our worried posts and posted a forum that stated they would not be shutting down the site and they also notified us that they had created a new sight so that we may continue on our journey of participating in our government “of the people, by the people, and for the people.”

Even though we had been reassured by Obama Headquarters that they had not forgotten about us, some of us may have started to suffer from some level of depression. This may have started the day after the election or at any time after and co-exist with any of the other symptoms we were experiencing. Although this mild form of depression can be a natural part of the loss process, the symptoms should dissipate in a short period of time. If for some reason, someone continues to be depressed or the feelings of depression dramatically increase, it is important that we seek professional help immediately.

Eventually we will begin to accept this significant change in our life. At first, the symptom of acceptance related to PETS, may be tempered and we may be somewhat aloof about returning to our pre-campaign life. There will still be occasional waves of emotions that can be triggered by any number of experiences, which is very normal and is evidence that we are beginning to heal from what we perceive as a loss. As time passes, we will eventually reorganize our thinking by incorporating our loss with positive memories of the long, hard fought battle of the campaign. We will no longer be sad about this significant change in our lives, as the experiences are now a part of us and the feelings of loss will no longer keep us from functioning as we once did in our pre-campaign lives.

(PETS) is not a neat list of absolutes, it is a wide range of emotions and behaviors that are as individual and varied as those of us who are dealing with the disorder. What is important to remember, is PETS is not a pervasive condition and will subside as time goes by. Armed with the knowledge of PETS, we can now better understand ourselves and others who are going through many symptoms of PETS. Recognizing that we’re not alone in our suffering can increase our empathy and support for others and provide permission for us to go through the process in our own way and in our own time.

By now all of us may be wondering how we can help ourselves through this period of suffering from the PETS disorder. There is actually a barrage of activities that can improve our mood and increase our ability to recover faster. Just like people who suffer from PETS that will have diverse and unique symptoms, there are also as many unique ways of improving our ability to recover from this disorder.

Some ideas to promote our healing process may be to take a day to pamper ourselves in whatever way that we know how to pamper ourselves. Start making that scrapbook of your campaign experiences. Meditate/Pray, read both of Obama’s books for the first or second time. Give your pets’ extra special attention. Volunteer at an animal shelter, or a homeless shelter. Look for your local Democratic office and become acquainted with your local leaders. Begin emailing or writing letters to your state representatives about issues that you and our President-elect Obama have been passionate about.

It may be worth mentioning that the Obama Headquarters have already developed a new website to keep “we the people” involved in the restoration of our government. The site link is http://www.change.gov and may be a great way to start the process of reorganization and reentry into our pre-campaign life.

This is not the time of wondering where we go from here, but a time to adjust and move forward. Since this is a specialized disorder, it can be comforting to know we will eventually succeed in healing ourselves from PETS. This will become obvious when we are able to see ourselves stepping back into our pre-campaign life. The one difference between pre and post campaign involvement though, is that we will have brought with us a richer life filled with positive memories of our widespread involvement with our children’s and grandchildren’s history.

Although, we have all participated in making history, there is a possibility there may be another outbreak of PETS four years from now. However, next time we will have all been vaccinated and thus be armed by our understanding and knowledge of PETS disorder, which will greatly reduce the symptoms that we may suffer. If we decide to get involved in the political process once again, it will be inevitable that we will have that sudden and significant feeling of loss that will occur after re-electing President Obama in 2012. In the meantime, one way we can heal faster from PETS, would be by collecting all of the memorabilia that has been scattered around our homes that we thought would be cleaned up by know, and start making our scrapbook of memories we promised ourselves we were going to do as soon as this election was over!

Recently, we speak a lot about maintaining transparency and responsibility in our society. All this has emerged in the 21st century world due to the dangers of terrorism. How the Pros Do It – Black Mold Removal in Five Easy Steps

March 21st, 2010
D. Michael Kirby asked:

Stachybotrys chartarum. Otherwise known as toxic black mold. Chances are, it won’t reduce your home to rubble. And it won’t use up all your cell phone minutes. And it definitely won’t go to the county courthouse and change your voter registration.

But it can create serious health problems. And it can damage structural wood and concrete in your home. That’s nothing to giggle at.

Black mold poisoning can cause a wide range of symptoms, each worse than the last. You might experience some allergic reactions even though there are no triggers around. Or headaches that don’t seem to go away. At its worst, black mold poisoning can result in intense coughing, sometimes complete with bloody phlegm.

And because it’s attracted to the moisture in the dark and forgotten areas of your home, black mold can also do serious structural damage. Though it can grow anywhere, it can deal the most damage to wood and concrete. Because these are porous, the mold can dig deep into them, taking root in a way that may force you to replace beams, wall bearings or even parts of your foundation. But a professional mold removal company can help you deal with the problem. They’ll attack your black mold in five steps.

Assessment. Any mold removal company worth its fee won’t start working until they know how much mold is in your home, and where it is. Often, if they suspect the problem is severe enough, mold removal contractors will need to dig deep — so prepare to have furniture or stored boxes moved. They may even need to dig into a wall. But if he finds it, your mold inspector can show it to you (so you won’t get scammed). It shows up as a greenish-black mass.

Containment. Black mold removal means cordoning off the affected section of your home, so the problem doesn’t spread. Black mold reproduces by spreading spores into the air — so if those spores get relocated to another section of your home during the removal process, the whole game is a bust. So a good mold removal company will use lots of tape and plastic sheeting to keep the rest of your home uncontaminated.

Filtering. While the process is ongoing, the contractor will use air filtration devices with HEPA filters (the kind found in high-quality vacuum cleaners) to scrub the air clean. They might also wear air filters and goggles, making your home look like one of the more difficult levels of a science-fiction video game.

Removal. This is the hard part. If the black mold is on glass or plastic, cleaning up is easy, since those are nonporous. But if that’s the only mold in your home, you’re probably not calling in a mold removal company. If the infestation is bad enough, the contractors may have to remove parts of your home, like wood or chunks of concrete. So be prepared for the possibility of a subsequent repair job.

Structural Repairs. Fortunately, most really good mold removal companies will be qualified to repair any damage caused by black mold. More importantly, they’ll be able to prevent the mold from coming back, or recommend ways to do so.
